Day 1 Arba Minch

Up on arrival meet by our representative and transfer to your hotel, in the morning before you depart to Arba Minch you will visit ethnographic museum. After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Arba Minch. If time allows visit the home of the Dorze people at chencha, renowned cotton weavers whose tall beehive shaped dwellings are among the most distinctive traditional structures to be seen anywhere in Africa. The main occupations of the region are subsistence farming and weaving. The shama cloth produced around chencha is regarded to be the finest in Ethiopia plain white gabbi robes and brightly coloured scarf-like” netalas” are sold along the roadside.

Day 2 Drive to Jinka via konso & weito(250kms)

Today after breakfast, drive to Jinka, en route enjoys the boat trip on Lake Chamo, as one of the best features of the park. Attraction of the boat trip includes viewing of large number of hippos and crocodiles from a very close range. There is a good place to watch large number of crocodiles on the shore of Lake Chamo. The place known as ‘azo gebeya’ meaning crocodile market offers one of Africa’s most impressive displays of big crocks. Then continue driving to Jinka via konso and proceed to weito village and then to keyafer Overnight eco omo lodge

Day 3 Jinka- Mago National Park -Mursi- Konso (250kms)

Morning after breakfast, drive to Mago National Park. In the park, you will visit the mursi tribe who are known for body scarification and among the women the wearing of lip plates. The plates are considered as an important aesthetic asset. The mursi tribe men frequently participate in “donga” (also practiced by surma tribe) a stick fighting which is an important rite of passage that allows men to have a wife. Then drive to konso for the overnight stay.

Day 4 Drive to Hawassa 275kms

Lake Hawassa is a peaceful lake lies within the town’s shore. A gentle chain of mountains and a low plateau surround the lake, opening to a wide, low bay in the south. Swampy bays are interspersed with volcanic rocks. Sandy shores with bare rocky hill, and every formation of terrain imaginable can be found near Hawassa. The lake around 21meters deep and 62kms in circumference teems with a great variety of fish and as elsewhere in the rift valley many species of birds.

Day 5 Drive back to Addis Abeba 275kms

Today after breakfast visit Amora Gedel the daily fish market on the shore of Lake Hawassa. And then, drive back to Addis Abeba. En route you will visit tiya pre historic site, classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site, where you will see the northern most example of a peculiar type of engraved, standing stele which stretch across parts of southern Ethiopia. These stelea are believed to have been erected between 12th and 14th centuries and are almost certainly grave markers recent excavations at tiya have revealed the remains of young people of both sexes. 18-30 years old and buried in foetal positions. Finally drive to Addis Abeba and end of the service
